Good morning!
Do you have an āalmost name?ā Itās usually the name that your parents almost gave you or the name you wouldāve gotten if you were born a different gender. For example, I think I read in a photo album somewhere that I was almost a Robin or a Christopher. But I like the name I got out of the deal, and I share it with some pretty cool peopleāincluding one that youāll get to meet (or re-meet) this week!

The Agenda
Mission is getting a shiny new high school, but it wonāt be enough to keep up with population growth. š·ļø Mission School District
Mission gets one bigger, newer school; needs more
Mission will finally get a bigger, better high school. But only students currently in Grade 6 or below will end up learning in its classrooms.
The province announced Friday it had approved the spending of $175 million to build the new school. The new high school would have room for 1,500 students and is expected to be completed for the 2029/30 school year, meaning students in Grade 6 today will be entering their final year of school.
The school will have capacity for 250 more students than the current facility. The province says that will āsupport future enrolment growth in the district.āĀ
More schools will be needed, however. Enrolment in Missionās schools is expected to grow by 459 students between now and the start of the 2029 school year.Ā
