Good morning,

Chilliwack RCMP are asking for help locating 13-year-old Zayn Johnston, who was last seen on February 23. Police say it's out of character for him to be out of contact this long, and they're concerned for his health and well-being. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black sweater, and a black baseball hat. Anyone with information is asked to contact Chilliwack RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

In other news, a Hope RCMP officer has joined this year's Cops for Cancer Tour de Valley to raise money for childhood cancer research, and two Chilliwack men face charges after being identified through surveillance footage shared on social media following a break-and-enter.

Abby Bike Shop owner donates ECG machine to Abbotsford hospital

A new electrocardiograph machine at Abbotsford Regional Hospital's Cardiac Care Unit will help medical teams respond quickly to life-threatening emergencies, thanks to a donation from a local business owner who arrived in the city as a refugee four decades ago.

Dao Tran, owner of Abby Bike Shop, donated the funds for the ECG machine, which records electrical signals in the heart to help diagnose heart attacks and irregular heartbeats. Having an additional ECG cart means the team can respond to emergencies in the ER and around the hospital when other machines are already in use.

"It is with a thankful heart to the community and the City of Abbotsford who opened their arms to me and welcomed me as a refugee 40 years ago," Tran said. "I am grateful to be able to support the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation and all they do."

Tran arrived in Abbotsford in 1986 and has made giving back to his community a priority. He recently started volunteering with the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation and also signed up to volunteer at Abbotsford Regional Hospital.

The Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation raises funds for medical equipment across the Eastern Fraser Valley. Those interested in supporting the foundation can donate at fvhcf.ca/donate.
