Local news reporters should know a little bit about the places they’re reporting on. That’s the theory. But the Fraser Valley’s a big place.

And when I (Grace) joined the Fraser Valley Current nearly a year ago, I didn’t know Agassiz from Harrison Hot Springs and had never been to either. The rest of the team here decided that someone would have to show me around.

And who better suited to that task than our spectacular readers?

Thus, the Tourist-in-your-town series was born.
