Every June, the breweries, cideries, and distilleries of Langley spend 10 days reminding the region why the area has become one of B.C.'s most interesting craft beverage destinations. The fourth annual Langley Craft Beverage Week runs through June 14, with a packed schedule of special releases, live entertainment, food pairings, and community events.
The week opened with the release of this year's Langley Loop collaboration beer — #10 Pilsner, named after Highway 10 and brewed collectively by members of the group. Camp Beer Co. brewmaster Dave Henry describes it as crisp and refreshing, with notes of passion fruit, citrus, and tropical fruit — a beer that celebrates local inspiration alongside modern brewing innovation.
Still to come: a French-inspired cuisine and wine pairing evening at The Barley Merchant on June 10, specials and giveaways at Brookswood Brewing on June 11, and The Orchard Social at Fraser Valley Cider Company, also on June 11, featuring live music and cider and cocktail flights. Five Roads Brewing follows on June 12 with happy hour features and live entertainment, including a screening of Canada's first FIFA World Cup game on the big screen.
The weekend wraps up with two marquee events: Brewhalla Fort Langley — one of the region's largest craft beverage festivals — on June 13, followed by a closing-day celebration at Locality Brewing on June 14, featuring live music, farm-crafted beer and cider, and non-alcoholic options.
What makes Langley Craft Beverage Week distinct is the collaborative spirit behind it. The Langley Loop is not a marketing exercise — it's a genuine working group of 12 independent producers who share knowledge, resources, and a collaborative beer each year.
Members include The Barley Merchant, Brookswood Brewing, Camp Beer Co., Dead Frog Brewery, Farm Country Brewing, Five Roads Brewing, Fraser Valley Cider Company, Locality Brewing, Roots and Wings Distillery, Smugglers Trail, Trading Post Brewing, and Kwantlen Polytechnic University's Brewery Operations program.
