Langley City opens 2026 community grants applications

$168,000 awarded to 48 organizations last year, $2.6M since program began

Got an idea for a program, event, or project that could bring neighbours together or improve life in Langley City? The city wants to hear about it.

Langley City is now accepting applications for its 2026 community grants program, which offers financial and in-kind support to local non-profit organizations and neighbourhood groups working to make the city a better place to live.

The grants support projects that connect residents, strengthen community ties, and improve quality of life across the city. Whether it's funding a new program, hosting a community event, or delivering services that help local residents, the grants are designed to empower groups doing good work in Langley City.

Last year was a strong one for the program. Langley City awarded $168,000 across 48 different organizations, helping them deliver programs, events, and services that directly benefit people living in the community. Since the program started, the city has handed out over $2.6 million to non-profit and community groups—a sign of the city's long-term commitment to building a vibrant and supportive community.

Deputy Chief Administrative Officer Graham Flack says community grants are one of the most direct ways the city invests in its residents and neighbourhoods. "These funds empower residents and groups to expand their impact, bring neighbours together, and create opportunities that strengthen the social fabric of Langley City," he said. "When we support community-led initiatives, we build a more connected and resilient city for everyone."

Applications need to be submitted online by March 2.
