After weeks of uncertainty, a popular Chilliwack vintage shop has found a new home.
Switzer’s Vintage Decor, owned by Jim and Anita Switzer, announced Friday that it plans to reopen at #105–7388 Vedder Road in Sardis, with an opening targeted for around Oct. 1.
The store had previously operated on Young Road next to Minter Country Garden. Ahead of its August 23 closing date, Switzer’s held a series of sales to reduce its inventory before moving—although, at the time, the owners had not yet secured their next location. That left regular customers waiting to see what would come next.
Last Thursday, the owner’s teased an update on social media, telling followers to “stay tuned” for news of a new store and location.
A day later, the Switzers made it official.
“Well, we are signed, sealed, and ready to go,” they wrote, adding that they expect to reopen around Oct. 1 and will announce an exact date closer to opening.
The new storefront was previously home to All Things Being Eco and puts Switzer’s in the heart of Sardis, close to several established neighbourhood businesses, including Frankie’s Italian Kitchen.
“We are very excited and look forward to seeing all of you soon,” they wrote, thanking customers for their support during the move.
