For those in Langley, the Cozy Bean Bakery and Cafe is hosting a Mother's Day High Tea on May 10 with two seatings — a 90-minute experience for $45 per person. The BIPOC Market + Local Marketplace is offering a three-workshop experience over Mother's Day weekend for $125 per person, including candle making, card readings, crystal bracelets, and more.
In Abbotsford, the Clarion Hotel's annual Mother's Day brunch buffet includes complimentary mimosas for mom, a gift, live music, and entertainment for the kids. Everything Wine Abbotsford is hosting a Plant n' Sip on May 7 — a wine and snack tasting while building a flowering planter to take home, for $50 plus GST. Their Langley location is also offering a Mother's Day event on May 8 — a guided tasting of whites, rosés, and sparkling wines for $30 plus GST.
Over in Chilliwack, Sardis Secondary School is hosting a Mother's Day Plant Sale on May 9. Also on May 9, hall of fame pitmaster Brian Misko is teaching a low-and-slow barbecue class covering brisket, pork shoulder, and ribs. The event isn’t specifically for Mother’s Day, but it could be a good pick for the mom who's more comfortable at the smoker than a brunch table.
In Hope, the Silver Chalice Pub is offering a Mother's Day brunch and dinner service on May 10. The Hope Golf Course is also hosting a Mother's Day Photo and Bouquet Bar on May 10, combining a mini photo session by Wild Portraits Photography with a custom bouquet bar by Wild Rabbit Flowers. Spots are limited and booking is required.
Out in Harrison Mills, Kilby Historic Site is celebrating Mother's Day on May 10 with a special Edwardian Manners presentation, farm animals, and lunch at the Kilby Café — where all mothers receive a complimentary wild berry bread pudding. Reservations for lunch are required.
