Summer at Greendale Acres officially kicks off July 29, and this year the Chilliwack farmstead has a new addition: the GOT CORN? Corn Maze, a family-friendly wander through towering acres of corn with hidden checkpoints and clues along the way.
The maze is included with regular farm admission and is designed to be enjoyed by all ages. It joins the farm's existing lineup of flower fields, train rides, fresh-roasted corn, and family activities that have made Greendale Acres a summer tradition for many Fraser Valley families.
The farm opens Wednesdays through Fridays from 10 AM to 6 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 8 PM, with extended hours for special events. Admission is $17 online or $20 at the door on weekdays, and $19 online or $22 at the door on weekends.
"The corn maze has always been more than an attraction for us," says Vanessa Oddy. "It's the moment that summer truly begins. Families return year after year, and every journey through the maze becomes part of their story."
Beyond the maze, summer at Greendale Acres is packed with events worth planning around. The Chilliwack Corn Festival returns for two weekends — August 1 to 3 and August 8 to 9 — with corn-shucking and corn-eating contests, face painting, and live music. The Sundown Music Series runs every Saturday in August and into September, with local musicians and bands performing in the evenings.
For those looking for something more hands-on, Golden Hour Flower Workshops on August 20 and 27 offer a guided walk through the flower fields followed by a flower arranging session led by Greendale Acres owner and florist Vanessa Oddy ($45). Golden Hour Painting Workshops on the same evenings, led by local artist Silvana Kulyk, offer a step-by-step outdoor painting experience on the farm ($65).
The season wraps up with the Summer Send Off over the Labour Day long weekend, September 5 to 7, with a Watermelon Eating Competition, the corn maze, U-pick flowers, and the biggest concert of the season featuring Josh Petersen, The Rundown, and the Tanner Olsen Band.
