If you like classic cars, good company, and supporting local health care, mark June 7 in your calendar.

The Fraser Valley Classic Car Show returns to the UFV Chilliwack campus, bringing together British, American, import, and modified vehicles, plus vintage motorcycles. Admission is free, parking is free, and the field opens to the public at 10 AM.

The show is put on by the Fraser Valley British Motor Club, and the charitable mission is central to what makes it tick. Last year's event raised $18,550 for Chilliwack General Hospital through the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation — and since 2022, the show has raised nearly $50,000 in total.

"This event allows us to use our passion for classic cars as an attraction, thereby enabling the public the opportunity to donate to a worthwhile cause and help to strengthen health care in Chilliwack," said Susan Antak, the club's 2026 president.

One of the show's more charming touches is the Young Enthusiast Class, open to participants under 19 who can enter vehicles of any vintage. It's a nod to the next generation of collectors and restorers, and a reminder that this hobby has a future.

This year's raffle prize is a restored 2004 Saab 9-3 Aero convertible, with the draw taking place at 2:30 PM at the event. Raffle tickets are available in advance online.

Beyond the cars, visitors can expect food trucks, prize draws, and the kind of relaxed, friendly atmosphere where strangers end up swapping stories about carburetors for longer than they planned.

Show vehicle registration runs from 7:30 to 10 AM the morning of the event, with pre-registration preferred. The show is for vehicles of pre-2002 vintage, with no vintage restriction for the Young Enthusiast class.
