How to avoid Abbotsford Airshow parking chaos
The return of the Abbotsford International Airshow will also bring the return of traffic and parking challenges this weekend. To skip some of those, a special bus network will allow visitors—including those from Mission, Langley, and Chilliwack—to get to the show without driving.
The shuttle will travel from the airport (on Threshold Drive at the campground) to HighStreet mall, then into Central Abbotsford. At HighStreet, riders can hop on the Fraser Valley Express either east to Chilliwack (the bus stops at the Lickman park-and-ride, and continues from there past the malls to downtown) or west to the Carvolth bus and park-and-ride in Langley and, beyond that, to Lougheed Station.
Mission-bound riders can connect with the Abbotsford-Mission bus by taking the shuttle to the Bourquin Exchange. The schedule provides plenty of time between most connections, but Mission riders on Sunday will need to get on the shuttle by 5:05pm to make theirs.
