The Conservatives have swept the Fraser Valley, from Langley to the Fraser Canyon. With only a handful of polls left to report, The Current decision-desk has declared a Conservative win for each of the nine ridings. Update: 9pm

The Conservatives may have turned Langley blue, four years after the NDP swept the fast-growing community.

In the new riding of Langley-Abbotsford, Conservative Harman Bhangu had a 4,000 vote lead with all-but-one final-day ballot boxes reporting. Three of five advance voting ballot boxes still need to be reported, but those likely won’t have enough NDP votes to stop Bhangu from becoming the new riding’s first member of the legislature.

Elsewhere in Langley, NDP incumbents Megan Dykeman and Andrew Mercier trail by hundreds of votes with only a few ballot boxes left to be tallied.

In Langley-Walnut Grove, two of four advance voting ballot boxes, along with two of 15 final-day polls, must still be counted. In Langley-Willowbrook, one advance voting and one final day ballot box still need to be reported.
