Abbotsford underwater: photos from the Sumas Prairie flooding

Residents across the southern part of Abbotsford have been evacuated due to rising flood water from the south; this is what the area looks like now.

Sumas Prairie is flooded. Rising waters from the Nooksack River to the south began inundating the region Monday, prompting evacuation orders from Sumas Way to the Chilliwack border.

This morning (Tuesday), Abbotsford Mayor Henry Braun and the Abbotsford Police Department took an aerial tour of the area to survey the damage. This is what they saw.

The City of Abbotsford has asked the public to not go out and get photos and videos of their own.
