UPDATED 8:05 p.m.: Polls closed across BC for the 2021 federal election at 7pm. An hour later, there are few local results available except in the Cloverdale-Langley City, the most likely in the Fraser Valley to change hands. In that riding, John Aldag is currently beating the incumbent, Conservative Tamara Jansen. Nationally, CTV and CBC have projected that the Liberals will win the most seats nationally). In the Fraser Valley, there are five federal ridings to watch: Chilliwack-Hope, Mission-Matsqui-Fraser Canyon, Abbotsford, Langley-Aldergrove, and Cloverdale-Langley City. Between them, 22 candidates are vying for a seat in Parliament.
