BC’s babies by the numbers
From baby booms to baby busts, find out what has changed for births across the province over the last decade.
Nowhere in the province has welcome a greater percentage of babies than Willoughby, a small community just south of Highway 1 in Langley. But it’s not the only place in the province to experience a surge in births over the past decade.
From Princeton to the Sunshine Coast, more new parents welcomed more new babies in 2021 than they did in 2011. But many communities are also seeing a decline, particularly in Northern BC and parts of Vancouver Island.
